China: a rising economy

As the main economic and productive flows move from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean, Asia is rapidly becoming an important player in the international arena both economically and politically. Globally, Asia’s position is causing a redesign of the productive, trade and financial structures of international commerce.

These changes are reflected in the significant growth of capital flows in the form of direct investment from the West onto Asia and in the increasing demand for Asian products and services.
Due to its size and growth potential, in the last decade China has become the paradigm of economic growth in Asia.

Roca Junyent's office in Shanghai

To meet more effectively the needs of its clients in terms of legal advice, in January 2007, RJ joined the handful of Spanish law firms to have a permanent office in Shanghai. The Firm’s Shanghai office is manned by a team of Spanish and Chinese professionals with extensive experience advising European companies willing to invest in China.
Currently, Shanghai is China’s economic and financial capital. It is also the most dynamic and fastest-growing city among Asia’s great metropolis. From its office in Shanghai, Roca Junyent serves its clients in connection with their activities in Chinese soil and in relation to their investments across a wide spectrum of Asian countries.
