This appointment is in line with the process of generational succession which began on 20 January with an extensive overhaul of the Board of Management.
Carlos Blanco declared himself “grateful for the confidence placed in him by the Board of Management to perform this new role. I approach with optimism and determination the aim of boosting the growth of our operations in Madrid as set out in the Strategic Plan in order to consolidate Roca Junyent’s current market-leading position”.
Carlos Blanco (Seville, 1983) is currently the Head of the Corporate Department at Roca Junyent, the firm that he joined in September 2016 from the firm Blanco & Silva, of which he was the founder and Managing Partner. Previously he was a lawyer at the firm Uría & Menéndez.
Blanco has a degree in Law and in Business Management (E-3) from the Pontificia Comillas University (ICADE Business School). He has vast experience in advising on company mergers and acquisitions (M&A), de-listings from the Stock Exchange and the Spanish AIM, share issues and the regulation of financial institutions including, amongst others, banking institutions, mutual societies, venture capital institutions and investment firms. Throughout his career he has advised on major company sales and the de-listing of companies from different sectors, including the industrial, technology and finance sectors. Also, in relation to company matters, he acts as the Company Secretary to the Boards of Management of various financial institutions and industrial companies and has experience in the planning and implementation of such transactions as, amongst others, spin-offs, divisions or increases or decreases in capital.
Isidro del Saz Cordero left his position as Managing Partner of the Madrid Office by mutual consent with the Board of Management of Roca Junyent as a result of his wish expressed in the last few months to relinquish his executive positions in order to concentrate on giving advice on company matters.
