Football is approaching a new 'Bosman case' to shake it up
20/10/2021
After the 'Bosman case' which succeeded in having football players considered as workers and therefore enjoying free movement within the European Union, we are currently facing a similar situation in Belgium.
In particular, a Belgian judge has asked the European Court to decide whether or not it is legal for football teams to be obliged to have a certain number of players who have come through the youth academy, as required by UEFA.
