The law protecting corruption whistleblowers is on the verge of being passed
31/01/2022
Spain must now transpose the whistleblower directive, which prevents retaliation and guarantees anonymity to whistleblowers. In an article in the Ara newspaper, Íñigo Cisneros, our ESG and Compliance partner, says that the directive provides two "fundamental principles: confidentiality to the very end and the guarantee that there will be no reprisals against whistleblowers".
He adds that the idea is that "society and the economy will be better off if things come to light". It is the culture of "not benefiting the cheater".
