The Asociación de Clubes de Esports [E-sport Clubs Association] (ACE) and Junyent Rock initiate a collaboration in legal counsel
The firm will perform the secretary functions of ACE while providing ongoing advice on commercial, financial, industrial and intellectual property, administrative, data protection, dispute prevention and resolution, employment and tax matters, amongst other areas.
Madrid, December 4, 2018.– The Asociación de Clubes de Esports (ACE) has selected Roca Junyent Rock as its legal counsel. The association, which results from the union of the major Spanish e-sports teams, has entrusted the firm with its secretary functions, which include the function of secretary at the General Shareholders’ Meeting and on the Board of Directors. Additionally, Roca Junyent will provide ongoing legal counsel to ACE regarding commercial, financial, industrial and intellectual property, administrative, data protection, employment and tax matters, amongst other areas.
The Asociación de Clubes de Esports has amongst its main purposes to align the interests of such clubs, contribute to the development and dissemination of e-sports, maintain quality standards of the industry, and ensure its continuity and good standing within the Spanish legal framework.
Roca Junyent has extensive experience providing ongoing legal advice to associations and companies. Furthermore, in the growing e-sports sector, the firm has advised various clients in the creation of e-sport competitions, the drafting of contracts for participation of e-sport clubs in various competitions, e-sport player contracts, constitution of companies related to this sector and third-party contracts related to sponsorships, events and tournaments, amongst other matters.
