With the signing of this agreement, the association incorporates an important law firm in legal matters in the Fintech sector in Spain as a legal sponsor of the AEFI, which will allow it to continue defending the common interests of Fintech and Insurtech companies and continue joining efforts to promote the different verticals of the sector in which the firm has solid experience including: payment methods and E-money, lending (consumer credit, mortgage, P2P, trade finance and intermediation), investment services such as roboadvisors and PFM, neobanks and embedded finance, blockchain solutions, cryptocurrencies and cryptoassets, tokenisations and NFTs, Regtech.
With this collaboration, RocaJunyent also consolidates its firm commitment and involvement in the regulatory Sandbox, in which they are advising one of the projects admitted in its first call. They will also continue to advise on financing rounds, joint ventures and alliances between fintech companies and financial institutions.
Rodrigo García de la Cruz, president of the Spanish Fintech and Insurtech Association (AEFI), states that "the incorporation of a legal partner such as RocaJunyent, a specialist in legal advice on the Fintech ecosystem in Spain, will allow us to join forces when building bridges together in order to promote best practices and continue advancing in the regulatory field".
Xavier Foz, partner in the banking and finance department and head of the Fintech and Blockchain areas, points out "the importance for the firm of belonging to AEFI, a key association for the Fintech sector, to continue providing value in each and every one of the different verticals in which the firm advises and to continue collaborating in the development of this industry in Spain".
