Biography and experience

He is the co-head of the firm’s International Department. He advises international investors, multinational groups and funds on complex M&A, private equity and company law transactions in Spain.

Based in Barcelona, he regularly acts as lead Spanish counsel on cross-border transactions, coordinating the work in Spain and collaborating closely with international legal and business teams.

With over 20 years’ experience, his practice focuses on acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate reorganisations. He advises throughout the entire transaction process, from structuring and negotiation through to signing and completion, with particular attention to risk allocation, timelines and practical implementation.

A significant part of his practice comes from international clients and law firms who rely on him to manage the Spanish aspects of transactions where local insight, responsiveness and cross-jurisdictional coordination are essential.

His approach is pragmatic and transaction-focused: understanding what matters from a commercial perspective, identifying the issues that could genuinely affect the transaction, and helping international teams to navigate the Spanish legal framework efficiently.

He is the exclusive contributor for Spain to Legal 500’s ‘Investing in’ comparative guide. He is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA) and the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA), an organisation he chaired in 2018–2019.

He has completed an executive programme in negotiation and mediation at Harvard Law School.
